Emma Davis and Sarah Mossop share an interest in collecting miscellaneous objects and each artist uses them in a variety of ways to inform their art practice. In their joint exhibition at Magdalen Art Space they have further explored this connection; both artists have made new work while continuing a conversation about the power of objects to trigger memories, the significance of our attachment to them, and the aesthetic appeal of what are often very ordinary and everyday things. Emma is a painter including elements of collage and assemblage, while Sarah is a sculptor working in ceramics, assemblage, drawing and photography.
