We are very excited to have teamed up with Film Oxford for a collaboration with The Shadowlight Artists, a collective of artists with learning disabilities.

Artist Richard Hunt from Shadowlight Artists will begin an artist residency at Filament 14 with Magdalen Road Studios during October. Richard was featured in a local press article about his forthcoming residency - Now We Can Create Our Own Films. Richard has a strong vision of how he’d like to use the time and space with us, to paint on a larger scale and create a film about his process, to be shown alongside the final work at exhibition.

“It will be a story about the waterfalls, it will be a piece about a lady that comes out of the bubbles. It was my idea.”

Richards time with us will be coordinated by Sonia Boue and Ellen Hausner but he will also receive technical as well as creative support from a team of other MRS artists.
