A series of printed postcards from a collection of images taken in Swanage, September 2020.
They are enmeshed in childhood memories of holidaying in Cliff Cottage, home of photographer Helen Muspratt, (but) these postcard images are now decontextualised and liberated from their digital 'packing case' to make connections elsewhere.
Paul Nash lived in Swanage and was photographed by Muspratt. They both had studios near each other at 10 Institute Rd and No 2, The Parade. My images of Swanage directly relate to places intimately connected with Nash and Muspratt. They are my equivalent of Nash's 'enormous packing case filled with shells and stones which Nash had collected in the course of his wanderings on the Dorset shore.'
